Progress. . .

Update: I am planning an omnibus edition, a collection of my short stories. Look for that next month! The title will be called Keeping Strange Time.

I've been hard at work on my current project, Schisms and I'm having a good time of it. I've also been doing a lot of history reading; literature, myth and the history of cultures in antiquity.

There's so much information about Mesopotamian, European and African civilizations that one could become overwhelmed by it and in the beginning I did feel overwhelmed, but I'm learning what information I can use and glean from, leaving behind what I don't need. Characters that I did not think of before I started writing have appeared and demanded to be in the story and there are several sub-plots that I did not think of until recently that now exist. So it's been exciting. Anyway, just thought I'd give an update on my progress. My first draft in nearly done. I'd say I have about six more chapters to write. Chapters one and two are already up on the blog. Look for chapters three and four next weekend!

Also, look for the release of Schisms, the first book in the Red World trilogy in December 2012!
